Privacy
This site deliberately collects very little. This page states precisely what happens, rather than reproducing a template.
What this site does not do
No advertising trackers, no social media buttons, no profiling. Fonts are served from this server rather than from Google Fonts. The only outbound links are the ones you choose to follow, to ORCID and ResearchGate.
Cookies
A cookie named NEXT_LOCALE remembers the language you chose, French or English. It holds nothing else, identifies no one, and is read only by this site: no consent is required for a cookie strictly necessary to operation. The only other possible cookies are those of audience measurement, and only if you accepted it.
Audience measurement
This site uses Google Analytics to learn which pages are read and which searches lead here. It loads only after you explicitly agree: until you have answered, or if you declined, your browser makes no request to Google and no measurement cookie is set. This is stricter than common practice, which loads the script under a “denied by default” consent signal. The consequence is accepted: visitors who decline are not counted at all. If you accept, Google Analytics sets its measurement cookies and processes data in the United States; personalised advertising and advertising data sharing stay switched off. Your choice is kept on your device, in the browser's local storage, and is never sent to the server. You can change it at any time at the foot of this page.
The contact form
The fields you fill in — name, email address, organisation, subject and message — are used only to deliver your message. They are not written to any database: the message is sent by email and thereafter exists only in the recipient's mailbox. Delivery goes through the Brevo relay, which therefore sees the message in transit.
Abuse limiting
To prevent automated bulk sending, your IP address is held in memory for fifteen minutes while your submissions are counted. It is never written to disk, never associated with the content of your message, and disappears when that window expires or the server restarts.
The mobile application
An internal Android application accompanies this site; it is not intended for the public. It stores the email address of its single account, and a device identifier issued by Google's notification service, Firebase Cloud Messaging, so that an incoming request can be signalled. That identifier says nothing about a person and concerns only the account holder's device.
Hosting
The site and its database run on a directly administered private server, without any third-party storage or authentication service. Data is neither sold, nor passed on for advertising, nor used to train a model.
Your rights
You may request access to data concerning you, its correction or its erasure. Given the above, in practice this amounts to the messages you have sent. Requests go through the contact form, which is this site's only point of entry.
